Are You Following The Crowd?

Here is something that has been going through my mind.

Thought I would jot this down before I get a little late evening snack out of the cupboard (that’s my problem…I eat too much)

Anyway…….

I guess you can call it human nature. Everyone strives to be liked and in doing so conform to those around them. The end result is, everyone is conforming to each other so everyone likes each other.

In my opinion, this is why most lead very ordinary lives.

I thought about this long and hard but here is what you need to know…

Following the crowd and conforming does not just apply more to any one area of your life as it does to the pursuit of your success.

In regards to network marketing, a ton of people fail. It’s the cold hard truth. Not because they desire or deserve it but this actuality is a little more subtle.

I don’t think anyone gets in this industry to fail. We all get in because of the hopes and dreams that can come to fruition through network marketing.

I just think the subtle culprit could the very sponsor that signed you up.

[No, I’m not crazy, yes I have had enough sleep, no, I’m not on medication….hear me out]

We have a tendency to follow the wrong leader and this can happen without us even being aware of it.

When I first started, I blindly conformed to the “way” things are outlined and I did what my sponsor told me.

I said, “Heck, if it worked for my sponsor then it will work for me”

But ask yourself. “Why should I blindly charge down the same path as my sponsor?” Do this especially if you are feeling the sting of defeat.

The key here is doing your own due diligence. It’s not your sponsor’s fault for teaching you how to grow your network marketing business in the same manner that worked for them.

I’m not going to tell you one system will work for everyone.

What I’m saying is stop conforming into a spiral of defeat. Just listen, test and do what fits your style of building your business to the future you always wanted.

Ok, now I’m hungry. Can’t write anymore.

Off to the cupcakes in the cabinet.

The Future of Network Marketing

Call me crazy, but the days where you can cold call your way to success are gone. This also holds true for building your business through you warm market.

It’s not because it is something that is impossible to do but it is not what people WANT to do.

I’ve never seen anyone thrilled at the prospect of calling hundreds of people they don’t know to give them a short canned script or a short business presentation while paying a dear price along the way…figuratively and literally.

We do it because we think that it is the only way to build our business. We think that if it worked for the guy before me, then it definitely has to work for me.

The same holds true for home meetings.

The truth is, people don’t buy into these things anymore. They scoff at the idea. How little time people have these days too.

Here’s what you gotta believe….. many other options are just one Internet search away. Faster, quicker and less taxing options. Heck this is what everybody wants.

So, what in the world does this mean?

Long ago, if you wanted to succeed your network marketing business, you had to do the warm market thing and cold calling thing…(I hate doin those things!!!!)

I’m sorry, was I thinking out loud?!?!?

If none of this sinks in, realize this……..these days you have to expand and add Internet prospecting to the mix.

Why?

If you don’t someone else will.
